This is a CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) story. As the story goes on, you’ll have to make choices that will affect how the story goes. When you reach the end of a chapter, you’ll have two options to choose from in the description. Good luck and enjoy the story.

It’s a stormy Friday night. Dark grey clouds loom in the sky as a massive downpour of rain falls down onto the ground. You’re driving down a lonely road, struggling to see out of the windshield.
You: “Man. I can’t see anything out here. Stupid thunderstorm.”
Suddenly, a bolt of lightning strikes right in front of your car and you swerve to avoid it, causing your car to hydroplane and lose control, spinning and swerving violently as you hang on for dear life. The car ends up crashing into a muddy ditch and the engine turns off. You hit your head on the steering wheel and lay back in your seat, rubbing your head. After resting for a few minutes, you turn the key and the car’s engine cranks and struggles to start back up.
You: “Come on. Come on. Start you old car!”
The car manages to start up after three attempts and you hit the gas pedal. The engine revs and the rear wheels spin, but the car doesn’t go anywhere. You get more and more frustrated as you keep trying to drive back on the road, but the rear wheels spin and slip in the sloppy mud hole, throwing messy mud all over the car.

You: “You’ve gotta be kidding me! Come on! Go!”
You keep furiously pounding the gas pedal, but the rear wheels only spin in the mud and the car sinks deeper and deeper in the mud hole. After spinning the wheels for more than ten minutes, you give up in frustration and get out of the car. You see the rear wheels completely buried in the mud and the car is down to its bumpers.
You: “Great. Just great. I’m alone, my cell phone’s dead, and now my car’s stuck in this stupid mud.”
Getting drenched by the rain, you decide to abandon the muddy car in search for help. Walking aimlessly down the road, you have no idea where you are and can’t see anyone for miles. Suddenly in the distance, you spot what looks like a building.
You: *smiles* “Yes! Finally!”
You run as fast as you can towards the building. It’s old, run-down, and looks to be abandoned. You push open the front door, finding it unlocked. The room inside the building is dark and abandoned. You slowly walk around, feeling the walls for a light switch.
You: “There has to be a light switch around here somewhere.”
You manage to find a light switch and flick it on. Most of the lights don’t work, except for a few lights that flicker on and off. There’s enough light for you to see the room that you’re in.
You: “Huh. What kind of room is this?”
You see pink walls with a purple floor and there are pictures of rainbows and puffy white clouds all over. You also look on the floor and see lots of baby and little kid toys, including stuffed animals, building blocks, a small plastic slide, a wooden play-castle for pretend play, and little toy cars and tricycles. Your curiosity makes you walk over to a bookshelf and you find several baby books scattered all over the floor, some of them ruined and have torn pages.
Strawberry: “Kids toys? Baby books? Pink walls with rainbows on them? What kind of building is this?”
You stand in the room shivering and soaking wet from the storm, and your body is also very dirty and muddy.
You: *sneezes* “Achoo!”
Suddenly, you hear a voice in the distance.
Voice: “Bless you.”
You freeze in fear when you hear the voice.
You: “Who’s there?”
There’s no response. Being curious, you decide to explore the building, hoping to find either a phone or someone that can help you get your car unstuck from the mud. Walking down a dark hallway, you peer into different rooms.
You: “Hmmmm. There’s a lot of different rooms. Maybe this is like a old business or something.”
Your expedition leads you to a empty wall with a switch on it.
You: “Hmmmmm. What does this switch do?”
